Today Talan had his 2 month check up and shots. Here are his stats:
weight 11 lbs. 14 oz. (50th percentile)
height 23 1/8 inches ( 50-75 percentile)
head circumference 40 (50th percentile)
He has obviously gotten bigger but at 2 weeks he was only in the 5th percentile for his stats!!!He got 3 shots today and one oral vaccine ....his big brother Trey who was only there for moral support, got more than he bargained for when the doctor recommended that he get his flu vaccine. Since we were already there, I asked if we could just do it today instead of making another appoinment. The flu vaccine is a squirt of medicine in each nostril now instead of a shot! Trey did really good...I was impressed! But you should have seen how concerned he was when Talan got his shots and screamed! When the doctor was doing her exam she got out the popcicle stick to check Talan's mouth and Trey said to her, "Don't stick that too far in bc you'll choke him!" He was so cute and such a concerned big brother! Talan has done really good all day...a little fussy this afternoon but not bad at all...hopefully he sleeps good tonight! He has been sleeping 6-8 hours over the past few nights so hopefully that is a pattern that will continue bc I could use the extra sleep!!!
We were out ALL DAY LONG and I am exhausted and so glad to be home! We took Javi to work this morning at 7:00am, then we visited Javi's Nana for a few hours, then to Talan's doctors appointment, then Target...we had pizza for lunch (trey loves to eat pizza at Target)
and here is a picture of Trey taking a shower tonight with his new "my own shower" that we found at Home Depot....it's a cute little animal shower head that is just his height that attaches to the regular shower head....it makes rinsing shampoo out really easy and he likes it alot too!
