miami trip

Since I had started uploading the pictures from our Miami trip and saving it as I went, I posted it this morning but it posted way back when I first saved it. SO if you want to see the pictures from our trip to Miami, you'll have to scroll back a few posts....

I am just writing to let everyone know that there's a VERY good reason why I haven't posted any new stuff lately. My computer has been letting me know that I have very low disk space.....come to find out, I'm very close to my entire computer crashing bc of it!!! So I have been taking pictures but I just can't download anything to my computer to blog about. I should have this problem fixed soon and I will be back in business!

the great feeling of accomplishment

I decided it was time to REALLY clean out Trey's room and get rid of lots of the toys he doesn't play with anymore! It was getting so hard to straighten up his room bc there just wasn't enough storage for all of his things. I was ready to take on the task...and I wasn't holding back this time. I went to Target and spent $160 on organization stuff. Of course, I intended to tackle this project all day Friday but I got all of the stuff on Wednesday and couldn't wait to get started once I had it home! So I started putting the shelves together Wednesday night and came home Thursday and started in Trey's closet. When Javi got home from work, I told him I had started and to not look bc I was getting rid of LOTS of stuff!!! I set up 3 boxes in the hall way, on to DONATE TO GOODWILL, one to give to CHERYL (the boys babysitter) and one to take to CONSIGNMENT. This is just the beginning of what the piles looked like. They were much bigger once I got finished! :)

Last night as I was pulling stuff out of Trey's room, my hall way (and pretty much the rest of the house) I realized how tight the hallway was getting. I could hardly walk in and out of Trey's room....

I didn't intend to get as far as I did last night but I am proud of how much I actually got done. While Trey's room was a total disaster, he begged me to move his bed (which I was planning on doing Friday) so we moved everything around got his bed set up where he wanted it, and he passed out! With everyone sleeping (even Javi) I was all alone to work with no interruptions....and man did I! I completely put Trey's room back together. This morning I woke up and had everything...and I mean EVERYTHING done by 10am....whew...I am exhausted but feel great about what I accomplished...next up....TALAN'S ROOM!

Easter 2010

On Saturday when Javi got home from work, Trey colored Easter eggs. It gets more fun each year since he can do most of it by himself now.Notice Talan in the background...doing what he does best...eating of course! :)Sunday morning the boys woke up and opened their Easter baskets....Trey was excited about all of his stuff but a little disappointed that the Easter Bunny didn't leave him a real bunny....thank god he didn't! We told him that he was too little to take care of one so that's why the Easter Bunny didn't leave him a pet bunny.We spent the day at the park with Susan, Ashley, Curtis and all of his family...the boys had fun running around! Then we came home to have dinner with our neighbors at 5:00. J made ribs, Garth made a ham and I made all the sides. I was bad about taking pictures of our Easter day events can you tell? Oops...bad mom! We were supposed to do an egg hunt at the park but didn't....so after we came inside from dinner and cleaned up, Javi hid eggs in the house for Trey to find. He had a BLAST!!!! After he found all of the eggs and opened them up to see his prizes (he would shake the eggs and say "oh this one just has candy in it" then he'd shake another one and all excited he would say "this one has money in it" he knew the difference in the sounds). After that, he wanted to hide eggs for us. We played for about an hour taking turns hiding the eggs from each other! It was really cute and fun! Trey woke up this morning and asked if we could hide eggs again....he found this egg hiding in Talan's shoe...
He is so adorable!!!

my little monsters

I know I am way behind on my blogging...as usual! I have started uploading pics from our trip to miami last month but haven't had the time to sit and do the narrative for the pictures...I dread blogging with lots of pictures bc it's really a pain. So take what you can get...here are a couple cute pictures of the boys tonight in their "THING 1" and "THING 2" t shirts that we got at Islands of Adventure on our trip. I love it when they are both wearing these shirts!

Getting them both to pose for a picture is quite and ordeal these days...Javi had to help me with these! Talan is throwing a ball in this one...and Trey...well he is just a ham!!!
