a fun filled nickelodeon day

We spent all day Saturday at Gina's hotel (JW Starr Pass Marriott) they are doing a Nickelodeon themed thing there this summer and yesterday was the Inauguration. We had breakfast with the characters (Sponge Bob and Dora) at 8 a.m. Trey was so excited to see them...can you tell by the huge "CHEESY" grin on his face! Then we headed out to the pool around 9 am. Gina and I sat by the pools all day with the kids while Javi and Pablo played golf.

They have this really cool Lazy River with tubes that you can use to float around with jets that push you around the pool.

In the background you can see the golf course. Trey didn't like the lazy river bc he was afraid of the little fountain that shot water over the pool. He can be kinda weird about stuff sometimes

That little spraying fountain on the left was the only one on the whole lazy river and that's what he was scared of.They also had this cool slide. Trey liked the slide.....until he came down and another little girl came down behind him and landed right on top of him (because he took too long to swim out of the way) and pushed him under water a little bit! After this he was totally done with the lazy river and the slide...he wanted to go back to the regular pool. Poor John Paul just wanted to spend the whole day going around the lazy river and going down the slide.

Later in the afternoon they did some Nickelodeon games and some of the kids that participated got "SLIMED"...Trey and John Paul watched but didn't want to play the games.

Talan has a blast too! I took him in the pool for a little bit and of course he loved it! Here he is enjoying the pineapple from my pina colada. He gets so mad and DEMANDS any food or drink he sees you eating!!!He took 2 short naps in his stroller...his first nap... and his second nap....
After spending all day in the sun...we left to pick Ryan up from the airport at 4PM...then we came home to get ready for Javi's party! I so wished I could join Talan and take a little nap!!!

t ball pictures

I have been really bad about blogging again lately. I have taken pictures and video at all of Trey's tball games but have yet to post anything about them. So here's a little update...Trey is doing really good in tball. He's so much more into it than a year ago. However, we have the coach from hell...I'm sorry but she really is!!! Unfortunately it has made the season very "UNFUN" for Javi and I. When we played a year ago, we made some great friends. Last weekend we ran into Trey's old coach Mark...his daughters' team was playing right after our game. I was so bummed to find out that almost our whole OLD team is playing together still in the older division!!! It really made me sad! We stayed and watched some of their game and Javi and I are considering moving Trey up next season to be able to play with them again. It's coach pitch instead of tball but we both think Trey will do just great with it!

Here are some pictures of Trey since the beginning of the season...

2 weeks ago we had a game at 10:45 and it was STINKIN HOT!!! Poor Trey was wiping the sweat from his eyes!!!
I LOVE these pictures....I was going to save them to do a Father's Day post but I'm afraid I will forget...or never get around to it! :)
they are watching Trey's old team mates play their game right after ours last weekend.

so funny

I just can't get over how cute Talan looks with all of his new teeth!!! Tonight Javi was making him laugh so hard...he was even snorting! I got some good pictures and a really cute video of him laughing! Honestly, he thinks anything and everything is this funny!!!

rock on Trey

Tonight while we were watching the American Idol finale, Trey was really fascinated by the performance by KISS....here's his Gene Simmons impression...

projects with mom

My mom is here visiting for 12 days and we are in craft heaven!!! She wanted to show me how to make these really cool and beautiful pots and I wanted her to help me make a valance for my kitchen window with matching chair pads. So we have been busy...busy...busy! The pots are so much fun to make...except for the grouting...that's is definitely my least favorite part. Trey helped us and had a blast painting his pot...and most of the rocks in our back yard.
Trey did a great job on his pot. We made him change his clothes so he didn't get paint all over himself and guess what???Nana and mommy made the biggest mess! Trey didn't get a drop of paint on himself. And Talan just had a blast being outside with us!!! He has discovered that he can actually make noise when he claps his hands and he loves it! He also plays "SO BIG" and throws his hands up when you ask him "HOW BIG IS TALAN?"
Here are some of the finished pots (we did 7 total)...with some of the plants we have picked up at our outings with mom at some really cool placesThis is my favorite pot and my favorite plant...it's a desert rose. And the valance that mom pretty much made all by herself...because I am so busy doing jewelry ordersI absolutely LOVE it!!! Notice another pot in the window!
and these are the chair cushions that mom had finished yesterday when I got home from work. She's been a busy lady...and she is going to be exhausted when she gets home....thanks mom! What are we gonna do next???

Happy Mother's Day

Today we spent the afternoon in the pool with the boys. Talan just LOVES the water! He relaxed in his little boat while he soaked up some rays....
with all that sun, he got a little thirsty so he had a beer...like father like son!

The best part of my day....was organizing my Mother's Day present! Javi and the boys got me a craft cart thing that I can store all of my jewelry and sewing stuff on. It is so cool...I LOVE IT!!! What a great present Javi thought of all by himself....I didn't even ask for it and I don't know how I didn't think of it sooner. It closes up and hides all the stuff inside which is great and the best part is that it's on wheels so I can roll it out of the office when we need the room for guests (like Mom coming this week). SO here is what I was using to make all of my jewelry before....I had just set up the table in our room so my mom can have the office when she comes. But now with my new desk...it can really go anywhere since it closes up and hides everything when you are done.... It opens up and extends and has lots of great storage...Isn't it GREAT?!? It's so much better than what I was working with! Thanks babe for a wonderful Mother's Day and an even better Mother's Day gift....I really LOVE it!!
