The good news is....Trey's eyes are perfectly fine (for now) and he doesn't need glasses. So for now Javi can just keep putting his glasses on the kids and take funny pictures of them.
Talan is quite the little piglet and we haven't found a food he doesn't like. He is always hungry and can never get enough to eat it seems like. Recently we started giving him finger foods to keep him from whining and fussing while I am trying to get dinner ready and when we sit down to eat dinner....
sooo messy but as you can see...he loves it!!!not only does he love the little gerber puffs...but he actually "attacks" them when I put them on his highchair tray!
After baths the other night Trey wanted to hold his little brother....but oh brother...

So let me tell you the story. In May 2007 we had to turn in our leased Jeep Grand Cherokee and we decided that it would be a much better option for us to BUY a car instead of leasing another one. Then we decided that we would buy a "pre-owned" car. We ended up buying a Lincoln Aviator (a smaller version of the Navigator). It was so nice with all the upgrades possible...only one problem...2 weeks into it, we started noticing major problems with it....including overheating in Mexico! So we took it back to the dealer and traded it in for the Maxima. It was a 2007 with 13,000 miles when we bought it. About 4-5 months into this car...it started giving us problems too. It would randomly just not start. We had taken it in for warranty work for this problem at least 8 times in the last year. In November when it happened, they once again couldn't find a problem with it. I told the service guy that I was worried that with my luck we would go out of the warranty(which was quickly approaching) and then they would find 100 things wrong with the car.....he assured me that since this was an ongoing issue we would have a grace period in our warranty and if the problem continued we would be covered. Last week the car didn't start two times for Javi (one of the days he was stranded in the parking lot at his work for 40 mins) so we took it in to Nissan and guess what? They find 6 things wrong with the car and now the same service guy tells me that none of the work will be covered under the warranty bc none of the issues are things they have fixed in the past.....oh I about lost it!!!! I screamed and yelled at everyone in that service area including the manager. Nothing was resolved. Javi and I realized at this time that we needed to do whatever it took to get rid of this lemon of a car before it costed us thousands of dollars and lots more headaches! We had already been looking around for the past few months with no luck but this time it was the final straw and we decided that we need to do something and we needed to do it FAST! So on Monday I was talking with a patient who told me she had recently gotten a great deal on a car at the Chrysler dealership...so I texted Javi and told him to go over there right after work and give it a shot....I still can't believe it, but they worked a deal and we got a new car...for the exact same price as what we were already paying and the best part is that now we have a brand new car with a warranty....and an extended warranty at that! I felt bad turning the Maxima in without saying anything about the problems it's been having (bc now someone else is going to end up buying it and have problems) but we really had no choice. I had already contacted and filed claims with 2 lemon law attorneys and was told I didn't have a case and I also filed a complaint with the attorney general here in Arizona....it was stressful and exhausting and now I don't have to worry about it anymore...HOORAY!!!! For those of you here in Tucson...just warn everyone you know....DO NOT BUY A USED NISSAN MAXIMA....just in case you get our lemon! :)

It turned out pretty good I must say...Javi thought so too...unless he just told me that so I wouldn't feel bad. I must say I'm pretty lucky to have a husband that lets me make and try all kinds of new recipes all the time. I put carrots, red potatoes and onions in it too. The sauce was applesauce with Dijon mustard. We ended up with some leftovers so I think I'm gonna make Reuben sandwiches later this week.....YUMMY!!!! Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE sauerkraut???? Well I do!!!
