flying a kite

We bought a transformer kite for Trey last summer and never opened the package. It seems we either try to fly a kite when there isn't enough wind or its way too windy! Yesterday was very windy so we thought we would take the boys to the park and try to fly Trey's kite. As we were walking to the park (uphill against the wind) we realized that it wasn't just a windy day....it was like hurricane force winds. (the news last night said up to 50mph wind gusts). See the video at the bottom of the kite...lol!

we also realized that we didn't have enough string to get the kite high enough in the air so it didn't swarm down and hit us in the head. I missed it, but Javi said that one time it dropped way down and Trey had to "hit the deck" to get out of the way of the kite!

Talan couldn't keep his hat on

our trip to the park didn't last long.

CATCH

Talan LOVES LOVES LOVES balls!!! He loves to swing the bat, play football.....anything that includes a ball actually! Every time we go to the toy store for the boys to pick out something, Talan chooses......balls of course! Yesterday, he was playing catch with Javi and he was actually catching the ball! He's definitely got the "athlete" genes in him! ;)

The many faces of Trey

When we tell Trey "NO" he can't have something or do something he wants, he makes this really weird, pouty "not so cute" face and it makes us laugh every time! SO the other day he did it and I said to him, "I should take a picture of that crazy face and put it on my blog" SO, here he is re-enacting his "CRAZY" face.....only these are really cute, not even close to the REAL "CRAZY" face!

I Wear Orange

I ordered these shirts for all of us and have been wanting to take a picture of all us wearing them together....but since I still haven't done that, this morning I decided to just let the boys wear theirs to school and I took a couple of quick pictures before we got in the car this. Trey's shirt says "My Grandpa is my Hero", Talan shirt says " I wear orange for my Grandpa" at the bottom they say "support leukemia awareness. I got shirts for Javi and I also, we will take a family picture with our shirts on and post it soon.....hopefully.

Getting close to the end

Tonight Trey played his second to last game of t-ball . I have noticed with him, that as we approach the end of the season, he starts to loose his focus and it's harder to keep him into the game when he's out in the field....

Here is what he looked like most of the game today. You could hear the coaches over and over agian saying, "Trey pay attention, Trey get ready, Trey stop playing in the dirt, Trey stand up and watch the ball"

Yes that is his glove that he is throwing up in the air and catching....it's too bad he can't catch a baseball that well. I thought these pictures were hilarious...Javi didn't think it was so funny at the time!

and here is Talan running around with his new t-ball spectator friends, Katie and Aiden (their brother's play on the team too)

***BIG BREAKING NEWS***
Talan has officially gone 24 hours without his pacifier!!! Javi dripped jalapeno stuffed olive juice on it last night, Talan stuck it in his mouth and made a horrible face and quickly took it out. Javi said "well then throw it away" and he did! So when he went to bed last night and asked for his "tete" Javi said "you threw it away, remember" he cried (really hard) for a total of about 5 mins then fell asleep. Today I didn't even take one with us to daycare and he didn't have one all day long (didn't even cry at nap time) he asked for it about 2 times on the way home from the game but that's it...no big fuss. Javi put him in bed tonight and he didn't even ask for it...he just went right to sleep! I am in total shock!!! I thought this was going to be so much harder than this....I think I said that when we took Trey's pacifier away too!

my favorite pictures of all time...

Ok...so I'm way behind I know! Most people haven't even gotten a copy of these pictures that we had taken of the boys back in February. I usually scan the pictures and send them off for copies at Costco (much cheaper than $18 per sheet at picture people) but we never scanned them....and then to be honest, I forgot about them. So after I got yelled at by my sisters who never got pictures bc they went to visit my parents and saw the pictures on the mantel at mom and dad's house....ooops....I decided to have Javi scan them tonight and I'm sending them off for copies. SO if anyone wants one, just let me know and I will mail them to you!

Pima County Fair

We took the boys to the fair last month (I'm just late getting my pictures uploaded bc of my whole computer dilemma) and we happened to be at the fair the same night at Breanna (Javi's cousin), Jerry and little Jerry. We met up with them and the boys had so much fun riding rides together......Talan unfortunately takes after his dad when it comes to rides. I tried to take him on one ride ( a little train that just went in circles) and he cried hysterically even with me on the ride holding him. All night we would ask him "Talan, do you want to ride on that with Trey?" and he would just shake his head "NO"!!!

They were so cute on this ride....they rode it over and over...we couldn't get them off!

This one makes me crack up laughing!!! If you look to the back right of the boat (in front of the lady with the blonde hair) you will see two little arms sticking up.....that would be Trey!!! LOL!!! Javi noticed it when Jerry and him were on this ride, I'm just glad I got a picture of it!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!! I had a nice relaxing day with my family! My pictures are going to be a little bit out of order bc for some reason blogspot has changed things and now I can't move my pictures around after I upload them....which is really frustrating to me....anyway....I went this afternoon to get a much needed pedicure. Earlier this week I told Trey (in front of Javi) "Trey, do you know what I really want for Mother's Day?....A pedicure" and he said to me, "What's that?" I guess my little hint worked...hehehe...b/c Javi and the boys got me a gift certificate to a salon/spa so I can get a mani and pedi...and this really nice watch. Javi has such good taste!
We wanted to spend the day in the pool with the boys...we put our solar blanket on yesterday hoping it would heat the pool a little...but it didn't! So this morning Javi turned on the heater to heat the pool...which was only at 70 degrees....burrrrrrr! It's been 97 degrees here this week, and it's frustrating that the pool is still so cold. We got in the spa and what seemed like such a beautiful day outside, turned out to be sooooo windy that we were freezing in the water. Even with the spa heated up to almost 90 degrees. We were able to play in the water for about an hour and then we came inside. We put Trey's old Nemo floaty and arm floaties on Talan and he really surprised us at how well he does in the water. Last summer we could only put him in his little boat float thing and push him around. I can't believe how big he is getting that he is ready to swim around in floaties already!!!! At first he had a hard time balancing himself and keeping his body upright. He kept flipping over on his back and then he would roll around from his front to his back ....drinking quite a bit of pool water in the process! LOL!!! We were trying to teach him to keep his mouth closed but of course that only made him want to drink the water even more! He caught on quick and was swimming/floating from side to side in the spa in no time!
