LOVE just dance

We had a few people over for dinner on Friday night. The kids were playing Just Dance on the Wii. Then next thing I know, the adults took over and you could hear the kids whining, "Let us play, it's our turn!" It was so funny!

Here are the kids dancing....Trey is pretty darn good at this one! It's really fun and a really good workout too!

first little league game

Trey had his first Little League game this Saturday! It was so exciting for us b/c the night Javi and I went to sign him up, we reminisced about our days playing at the Khoury League. The new park is sooo nice!!!
We were a little late signing Trey up so he missed the opening ceremonies and his first game. They dedicated the new field to a little boy here in Tucson that was electrocuted last year at another park while watching a game...very sad!!!
By the way, Trey's coach is one of the dentists that work at my office...so he told me he was gonna bring Trey's uniform to the game on Saturday. Well....he forgot! So Trey was the only one on the field without a jersey and hat! Trey is the one all the way to the left.

So after we sign up, I find out that it is the policy of the league that all the players wear a cup! My first thought, "Where on earth do I find one that small?!?". Then I thought, Trey isn't going to wear that! Javi and I went to Sports Authority on Thursday after work to get him all of the stuff he needed....white baseball pants, black belt, black socks, a new bat, the "pee wee" cup and Javi got him some batting gloves. When we got to school to pick him up, Javi was showing him all the new stuff we got him. He showed him the batting gloves and new bat and Trey's reaction was "Oh Cool!!!". Then he showed him the cup, and Trey said "WHAT IS THAT???" That night we tried on his new pants and belt and cup...and explained to him what the cup was for. He thought the cup was the coolest thing ever...he ran all over the house with it and ran, pee pee first into the walls to "try it out". On Saturday he couldn't wait to put it on and he kept talking about it. When we were getting out of the car at the game, Javi said to him, "OK now, that's enough talking about your cup! I don't want to hear you talking about it any more during the game".
Here is Trey playing pitcher. You have to wear a helmet when you play pitcher. The little catch has to wear full catcher's gear...it is really cute!
I don't know if he was dancing or what....LOL!

Here is Trey's first at bat....
he hit really good all three of his at bats! I'll be sure to post new pictures of him with his whole uniform on after the next game.

Miami Trip

Ok so since I can't post new pictures, I decided to FINALLY post pictures from our trip to Miami. I am only going to do the pictures bc the descriptions are the part I have been dreading and procrastinating about this post anyway. However, last night I tried to upload all the pictures and something drastic has changed about this blog site and for some reason, I can move my pictures around like I used to be able to.....I'll have to figure it out but for now....here's our Miami trip last month....all out of order....sorry!

Since most of you won't recognize this person that Javi and Trey are posing with....I'll help you out with this one picture! It's on of the guys from "Three 6 Mafia"...we were walking on South Beach by Wet Willies and he saw him standing in line to order a drink. Javi said "what's up" to him and he came over to take a picture...he was really nice about that. What was really funny is that he was by himself and while he was posing for this picture you could tell that everyone else around was thinking, "WHO IS THAT?" Leave it to Javi to recognize a celebrity just about every time we go somewhere.

Mark and Karina's wedding....the reason for the trip....

sheeewwww

In the past few weeks Talan has really started to say alot of words! He tries to repeat everything. My favorite of his words is "SHOE"...which he says ALL the time because he takes after his dad and is a total shoe freak!!! This morning at breakfast, he was saying it over and over and I caught it on video to share with you...it's the cutest thing ever! I can watch this video over and over and over again!

who let the dogs out?

we got a new game for the Wii...it's called "just dance". It's really funny and let me just tell you, quite a workout!!! Here is a little video of Javi and Trey dancing...who invited this guy?!?

little boy for adoption

Talan is driving us CRAZY!!!! He is into everything, breaks everything, knocks everything over...let me see....what else....oh yeah, he even finds a way to short a fuse or wire to make the power go out in the house. No I am not kidding!!! Tonight after dinner Talan was walking around the house "BANGING" things with a plastic drumstick (note to family: don't EVER, EVER, EVER by this child a drum set...please...I beg you) we could hear him banging things back in the bedrooms. Then Trey said "come see what Talan did to the light in the bathroom" so I went to look, and the vanity light wouldn't turn on. At first I thought maybe he tripped the bathroom electricity so I reset the outlet thingy...and...nothing. The other light in the bathroom still worked fine. Trey said he was banging the light switch with the drum stick and the light just turned off. So Javi went outside to check the breaker....that didn't work.....I changed the light bulbs....that didn't work....so we took off the switch plate and Javi started "banging" on the switch with his fist....and wallah....the light flickered on. So what would any handyman do at that point? Keep banging on the wall with his fist of course! I said to him, "that's not how you fix it, Mr. Electrician!" But eventually, after more banging and turning the light on and off, it works just fine again. I guess Talan must have loosened a wire in the switch...so it's only a matter of time before it goes out again I'm figuring....or the bathroom catches on fire...whichever happens first!
BY the way...I was just kidding about putting Talan up for adoption so don't anyone get any crazy ideas!
